Fulton Police: Week of Oct. 29, 2012

Corey J. Barker, 17, of 115 Chase Rd., Fulton was charged Oct. 30 with disorderly conduct for yelling derogatory language loudly while leaving G. Ray Bodley High School.

Amy L. King, 37, of 101 S. Fourth St., Fulton was charged Oct. 30 with scheme to defraud, falsifying business records, unlawful possession of personal identification, petit larceny, forgery, and identity theft. Police allege that while she worked at Tavern on the Lock, she used credit card information for 19 people to submit payment for her personal gain at the expense of the business and the cardholders.

Stephen B. Perry, 17, of 37 S. Seventh St., Fulton was arrested Oct. 30 on a bench warrant from Oswego County Court alleging failure to comply with pre-trial release on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, conspiracy, petit larceny and possessing burglar tools.

Theodore K. Darling, 41, of 254 W. Fourth St. S., Fulton was charged Oct. 30 with criminal trespass for allegedly being inside a home, forcing the resident to push Darling out the door.

Joseph A. Dashnau, 30, of 208 Buffalo St., Fulton was charged Oct. 31 with assault for allegedly hitting a man in the face during an altercation, breaking the man’s dental plate, then knocked the man to the ground, breaking his left foot.

Dannie L. Darling, 19, of 309 Cayuga St., Fulton was charged Oct. 29 with petit larceny for allegedly taking $4 belonging to another person and refusing to return it.

Jennifer R. Noel, 40, of 308 W. Broadway, Fulton was arrested Oct. 31 on a Fulton City Court bench warrant alleging failure to pay a $250 fine or surcharge.

Devin P. Nelepovitz, 24, of 7 James St., Phoenix, was charged Nov. 1 with marijuana possession, aggravated unlicensed operator, disobeying a traffic control device and no left side mirror. Police allege he made an illegal left turn, his driver’s license was revoked in 2008, the car was missing its left side mirror and had a bag of a substance alleged to be marijuana and a pipe with residue.

Jason T. Stevens, 31, of 8 Maiden Lane. Fulton, was arrested Nov. 2 on a Fulton City Court warrant alleging failure to pay a $250 fine or surcharge.

Derek J. Harris, 20, of 364 W. Third St. S., Fulton, was charged Nov. 3 with disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing to stop the swearing that caused neighbors to call 911.

Michael J. Reynolds, 33, of 14 Park St., Phoenix, was charged Nov. 3 with criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment, harassment and endangering the welfare of a child for allegedly having a domestic dispute with a woman in defiance of an order of protection. Police allege he held the woman’s arms down for a couple of minutes on her bed, in the presence of his two children.

Justin R. Hoey, 36, of 612 Manhattan Ave., Fulton was charged Nov. 4 with disorderly conduct for allegedly not obeying orders to stop yelling and stop swearing.

Farmworkers Labor Act is Poor Policy for Those in Reality

On the same day farmers were bracing for a cold streak, the Assembly passed a bill that imposes factory-like mandates on family farms, and failed to recognize the unique industry heavily dependent on weather and harvest schedules. The Farmworkers Fair Labor Practices Act passed the Assembly 83-53. I voted against it. The bill imposes new labor mandates, regulations and financial burdens for farmers, without considering the environment or circumstances it takes to run a successful farm.

Central Square Medical Center Staff Provide Screenings at Local Church

Pictured is Karine Jalbert, of the lab, as she administers a glucose test to Bob Fuller, of Central Square.Staff from Oswego Health’s Central Square Medical Center recently provided free screenings to senior citizens at St. Bernadette’s Bistro in Constantia. The Medical Center, located at 3045 East Avenue in the village of Central Square offers urgent care, lab, medical imaging, women’s health and physical therapy services.
