LATHAM, NY – Major General Patrick A. Murphy, The Adjutant General for the State of New York, announces the promotion of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capabilities for additional responsibility and leadership.
Matthew Liepke from Oswego, serving with the Medical Command is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
Evan Mitchell from Central Square, serving with the Troop B, 2-101 Cavalsry (Reconnaisance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) is promoted to the rank of Private.
Douglas Caldwell from Fulton, serving with the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Brigade Special Troops Battalion is promoted to the rank of Sergeant 1st Class.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
