Apollo Z. Avery was born in Oswego Hospital on Nov. 13, 2012.
He weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces and was 20 inches long.
He is the son of Atom Z. and Falecia C. Avery, of Oswego.
Charles I. VanHorn, 85, of Red Creek, passed away on Saturday May 18, 2013, at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse.
Assemblyman Will Barclay said today the ethic’s oversight in the state Assembly is inadequate and needs to be reformed in order to protect the public’s interest, not political interest. Barclay is planning to put forth legislation that will create in law an Assembly standing committee on Ethics and Guidance that will be independent of the Assembly Speaker.

Mr. Dana Oliver, EMT with Menter Ambulance, received a Traffic Safety Appreciation Award from BC Brady, of the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board. Oliver learned that the Child Passenger Trailer needed a part and generously donated one to help keep the program moving and children riding as safely as possible.
