Rhonda Richardson-Furlong, 54

HANNIBAL, NY – Rhonda Richardson-Furlong, 54, of Hannibal, died Tuesday November 20, 2012, at Oswego Hospital with her family by her side.

She was born in Oswego, graduated from Red Creek High School in 1977 and resided in Hannibal for the last 25 years.

Rhonda worked at Birdseye for 22 years where she was a group leader.

She loved fishing, sewing, puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren, Amelia Rose Furlong and Skylar Crofoot.

Rhonda was predeceased by her half-brother, Bradley Scott Richardson, who died July 30, 2012.

She is survived by her three children, Nigel Furlong of Phoenix, Amber Furlong of Fulton and Tiffany Jane Furlong of Hannibal; mother and step-father, Shirley and Ken Keil of Hannibal; father and step-mother, Russell and Susan Richardson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two grandchildren, Amelia Rose Furlong and Skylar James Crofoot; five siblings, Cindy Falter of Rochester, Todd Richardson of Red Creek, Lisa (Randall) Kinville of Fulton, Justin Richardson of California and Teddy (Terri) Richardson of Fulton; three step-children, D.J. Furlong of Martville, Matt Furlong of Syracuse and Jessica Garbutt of Fulton; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be 3 to 5 p.m. Monday with services to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 837 Cayuga St., Hannibal.

Contributions in memory of Rhonda may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.

The Human Concerns Center Says ‘Thank You’

The Human Concerns Center would like to thank both postal employees and community members for their participation in the May 11 “Stamp Out Hunger” letter carrier food drive. The event is the largest one-day food drive in the world.
