OSWEGO, NY – Jacqueline R. Shear, 79, a resident of Simeon Dewitt Apartments in Oswego passed away Wednesday evening November 21, 2012, in Oswego Hospital.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Alfred C. and Florence Robinson Sheridan.

Mrs. Shear was the widow of the late Morris Shear who died in May of 1995.
She had been employed as a dishwasher at Wade’s Dinner and had previously worked at Birdseye Foods and Comstock Foods.
She was a former member of the Hannibal VFW Women’s Auxiliary.
She is survived by three sons, Morris E. (Angel O’Connor) Shear Jr. of Conquest, Michael G. (Gloria) Shear of Oswego Town and Mark W. (Karol) Shear of Oswego; two bothers, Alfred C. Sheridan of Michigan and Harold (Shirley) West of Oswego Town; one sister, Geraldine (Wayne) Smith of Scriba; a brother-in-law, Marv Bailey of Oswego Town; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Myron Shear,
who died in 1987; one brother, Robert Sheridan; and one sister, Irene Bailey.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home with Pastor Elyse Skiles officiating.
Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. prior to the service.
