Kathryn Young Mosier, 71

FULTON, NY – Kathryn Young Mosier, 71, of Fulton, died at her home on Wednesday November 21, 2012.

She was born in Portland, Michigan, on February 14, 1941, to Lucille and Bruce Young.

She is survived by her husband, Allan Mosier; two sons, Brett and Chad; three grandchildren, Kelsey, Adam and Noah; her brother, David Young; her sister, Carol Young Landers; and her daughters-in-law, Tracy and Jeanine.

Katie received her Bachelor’s degree from Albion College and Master’s degree from Middlebury College.

She taught German at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, before she spent two years with her husband as Peace Corps volunteers in the Philippines.

Katie was a member of the Christian Science Church.

She requested that there be no memorial service or funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton Public Library, 160 S. First St., Fulton, 13069.

Arrangements are in the care of Foster Funeral Home, Fulton.

Arts Fest Talent Competition Set June 8

The third annual Arts Fest will be held June 8 at Fulton War Memorial Ice Arena from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. with more than 40 artists and crafters and a talent competition for ages 12 and under, 12-20 and over 20. A prize for best garage band is a new category for this year’s competiton.
