FULTON, NY – David A. Phillips, 56, of Fulton died Thursday December 6, 2012, at Rosewood Heights Nursing Home in Syracuse.

Born in Fulton, he was a life resident.

David previously worked at St. Luke Health Services in Oswego as a janitor and had worked in his early years at Mount Adnah Cemetery.

He enjoyed model cars, working on cars and tinkering with anything that had an engine.

David was known by many family and friends as Davy Crockett.

e was predeceased by his parents, Fred and Ida Phillips; two sisters, Charlotte Riley and Mary Jane Collins; step-father, Tracy Hotaling; step-mother, Virginia Hotaling.

Surviving: a son, David Phillips of Fulton; step-son, Peter Cogain of Fulton; fiancé, Diane Marshall of Granby; siblings, Helen Shortt of Oswego, Elizabeth Rice of Fulton, Billy (Terry) Phillips of Phoenix, Raymond Phillips of New Haven, Teresa (Richard) Maine of Hannibal and Trace (Carol) Hotaling of Volney; step-sister, Phyllis Weldin of Volney; many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a 12:30 p.m. service to immediately follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton.

Burial will be at Mount Adnah Cemetery, Fulton.

Donations Sought for 2013 APW Stuff-A-Bus

The Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School District Transportation Department, in conjunction with the United Way of Greater Oswego County, is once again gearing up for the Stuff-A-Bus Program. 2013 will mark the 10th year of the annual Stuff-A-Bus school supply drive at APW and is a combined school and community effort to ensure that every student is prepared for school.

Oswego Health To Offer Basic Life Support CPR for Healthcare Providers

There are still spaces available for Oswego Health’s basic life support CPR classes for healthcare providers to be held on June 8. Two, four-hour sessions will be offered. The morning session will be held from 8:30 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m. while the afternoon class will be held from 1 to 5 p.m.
