Traffic Safety Appreciation Award Presented

Mr. Dana Oliver, EMT with Menter Ambulance, received a Traffic Safety Appreciation Award from BC Brady, of the Oswego County Traffic Safety Board. Oliver learned that the Child Passenger Trailer needed a part and generously donated one to help keep the program moving and children riding as safely as possible.

Mayor urges students to ‘Leave Green’

Mayor Tom Gillen has announced that an initiative of the Campus-City Relations Committee, the Hall Newman Center, and SUNY Oswego’s Campus Life and Residence Life and Housing offices will encourage students to donate rather than discard household and personal items as they prepare to leave town for the summer.

Ritchie, Agricultural Advisory Council Explore Ways To Cut Energy Costs For Farmers

State Senator Patty Ritchie joined with members of her Agricultural Advisory Council in Watertown recently to explore energy savings that would benefit the farming community. Featured at the meeting was a presentation by National Grid, where a representative from the utility outlined ways farmers can save on energy bills.
