Oswego River report:

According to Larry’s Oswego Salmon Shop:

The water flow has been running between 10,000-12,000cfs for the last couple of days.  This morning it is flowing at 11,190cfs. Good fishing continues along the river although some areas are more difficult to access in the higher water. Steelhead, browns and rainbows are active with beads working well along with egg sacs.

According to Capt. Kevin Davis of Catch the Drift:

Fresh steelhead continue to make their way up the river. Some nice size browns along with colored up rainbows are being taken. Wednesday we found muddied up water with the higher flow. A tougher day as the fish were still settling in but we had a good day.

Salmon River report:

According to Dave Wood of Woody’s Tackle:

Fishing in the river has not changed much this week. Anglers are reporting good steelhead action with some fresh fish working their way up the river. Flies and eggs are working well

According to Garrett Brancy of the Douglaston Salmon Run:

Our guests have worked hard for their fish over the last two days with the fluctuation in water level. Anglers have reported success again on bronze and blue flashback stone flies in #10-12 along with #8 pink San Juan worms. Those guests spin or center pin fishing have been successful with egg sacs and 8 & 10mm slimmer and softy beads.

According to Whitaker’s Sport Shop & Motel:

We had mixed reports from anglers yesterday with some getting into some action while others had a quiet day.  For those anglers who are fly fishing, egg patterns, small nymphs and woolly buggers have been working the best. For those anglers who are bottom bouncing and float fishing, blue or pink egg sacs and trout beads have been suggested bait. The recent increase in water level has brought fresh fish into the river and fish have been holding along the softer edges and inside seams as well as the deeper pools.

Oneida Lake report:

Anglers have enjoyed the nice weather we have been experiencing but it appears the weather pattern is about to change. Colder temperatures and some snow are expected to move into the area tomorrow and over the weekend.  Both perch and walleye have been active in deeper water toward the eastern end of the lake especially off Lewis Point. Fathead minnows and worms are working well. Reports are indicating that the nighttime walleye bite has been more active.
