Oswego Police Searching For Robbery Suspect

OSWEGO, NY – On Thursday at approximately 6: 40 p.m., the Oswego City Police Department responded to Palmer’s TV, located at 225 W. Third St., Oswego, for a reported robbery that had just occurred.

First responding officers determined that one suspect had entered the open store, displayed a knife and demanded the money in the cash register.

The sole employee complied with the suspect, whom then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 20s, approximately 6 feet tall, slim build, dark eyes and bushy eyebrows.

The suspect was wearing dark colored pants, dark hooded sweatshirt and a black mask over his face.

He was carrying a blue colored bag.

The suspect was last seen running northbound on West Third near Albany Street.

The Oswego City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance.

Public Meeting on Drafting Eastern Lake Ontario Unit Management Plan to be Held June 5

A public meeting will be held on June 5 to help draft the Eastern Lake Ontario Unit Management Plan, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced. The meeting sessions will be held at the DEC’s Salmon River Fish Hatchery, 2133 County Route 22, Altmar, from 10 a.m. to noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
