Mitchell Pelow,

On 12/21/12 at 8:45 a.m., Mitchell Pelow, 18, of 161 E. Mohawk St., Oswego, was arrested for Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Mr. Pelow was issued an appearance ticket and released.
He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Scriba Court on 1/03/13.
On 12/21/12 at 1 p.m., John D. Fitzgerald, 17, of 19 Waterview Trailer Park, Lot 11, Oswego, was arrested for Burglary, Third Degree, a class D felony; Criminal Mischief, Third Degree, a class E felony; Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor; and Conspiracy, Fifth Degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Mr. Fitzgerald was arraigned before Town of Scriba Court and released on his own recognizance.  He is scheduled to return to court on 1/03/13.
The arrests were the result of an investigation into their alleged participation in the break-in to a town of Scriba business in July, 2012, from which consumable goods (cigarettes & chewing tobacco) were stolen.

On 12/21/12 at 12:30 p.m., Lucas J. Williams, 23, of 3119 CR 26, Mexico, was charged with Speed Over the State Speed Limit and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana, following a traffic stop on CR 6, in the town of Volney.
Mr. Williams was issued a uniform traffic ticket and an appearance ticket and released to a third party.
He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Volney Court on 1/14/13.

On 12/21/12 at 1:54 p.m., Robert C. Scott, 25, of 1107 Butternut St., Syracuse, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended with one scoff for a total of three on one for failure to pay fine in East Syracuse); Unlicensed Operator; Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident; Following Too Closely; and False Personation, a class B misdemeanor, stemming from the investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of SR 3 and CR 3 in the town of Granby.
Mr. Scott was reportedly apprehended in a wooded area off SR 3 where he initially misidentified himself to a deputy.
Mr. Scott was released on tickets returnable to Town of Granby Court on 1/07/13.
He was reportedly operating a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck eastbound on SR 3 when he rear-ended an eastbound 2011 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Steven L. Schmidt, 43, of 1482 CR 57, Fulton.
Mr. Scott was also arrested based on a warrant out of Onondaga County charging him with Parole Violation.

On 12/22/12 at 9:07 p.m., Joseph J. Donahue, 44, of 83 CR 24, Minetto, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol.
The arrest was made after Mr. Donahue drove into a STOP-DWI checkpoint established on SR 481 in the city of Oswego.

Mr. Donahue was issued tickets and released to a third party.

He is scheduled to answer the charges before Oswego City Court on 1/24/13.

On 12/23/12 at 1:08 p.m., Robert L. Calderone, 31, of 1822 CR 6, Fulton, was arrested for Grand Larceny, Fourth Degree, a class E felony.
Mr. Calderone was arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,500 cash bail or $3,000 bail bond.
He is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Volney Court on 1/07/13.
Deputies responded to a town of Volney business at approximately 11:07 a.m. after members of the US Border Patrol reportedly found Mr. Calderone on the property stealing metal valued in excess of $1,000.

On 12/23/12 at 11:16 p.m., Michael T. Diefenbacher, 54, of 20 Wellwood Drive, Mexico, was arrested for Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation, and Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, both class A misdemeanors, stemming from a domestic incident that took place at his residence during which he allegedly applied pressure to the neck of a female victim at that residence and damaged a table and a wall in the residence.
Mr. Diefenbacher was arraigned before Town of Albion Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.
He is scheduled to appear before Town of Mexico Court on January 22, 2013.

On 12/24/12 at 1:02 a.m., Kyle G. Collins, 25, of 130 Sol Davis Road, Williamstown, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, and Crossed Official/Hazardous Road Markings, after he reportedly drove his vehicle off the roadway on CR 26 in the town of Parish.
Mr. Collins was arraigned before Town of Parish Court and released on his own recognizance.
He will return to court at a later date to answer the charges.

Barclay Meets with Local Town Leaders

Assemblyman Will Barclay recently met with town and highway supervisors from Constantia, West Monroe, and Hastings to discuss state issues that affect localities. Barclay talked about the state budget, local projects, and Consolidated Local Street and Highway Improvement Program (CHIPs) which affects budgets for all localities.

St. Luke Adult Day Health Care Program Hosts Blood Drive

The St. Luke Adult Day Health Care program continues to celebrate the program’s twentieth year of service to the Oswego County community through its “Twenty Acts of Kindness” event. Over the course of the year, registrants will undertake a variety of activities in support of other community organizations and initiatives as a way to say “thank you” for the support the St. Luke ADHC Program has received since opening in 1993.

Public Meeting on Drafting Eastern Lake Ontario Unit Management Plan to be Held June 5

A public meeting will be held on June 5 to help draft the Eastern Lake Ontario Unit Management Plan, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced. The meeting sessions will be held at the DEC’s Salmon River Fish Hatchery, 2133 County Route 22, Altmar, from 10 a.m. to noon, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
