OSWEGO, NY – James L. O’Leary Jr., 52, died Saturday Jan. 5, 2013, at Oswego Hospital.
He was predeceased by his father, James L. O’Leary; and brother, Dennis O’Leary.
He is survived by his twin children, Christopher and Alyson O’Leary (Diane Johnson); his mother, Barbara O’Leary (Hamilton); his brother, Michael (Susan) O’Leary, of Red Creek; sisters, Michele Batchelor (Tom Hopkins) and Karen Baker, of Oswego; several nieces and nephews, Scott Baker, of Oswego, Kevin Baker (Janet), of Mannsville, Kathleen Baker, of Oswego, Trisha Flores (Pedro), of Oswego, Timothy Batchelor, of Oswego, Melissa Batchelor, of Oswego, Amanda Gardner (Christian), of Syracuse, Gavin O’Leary, Kiara O’Leary, Torin O’Leary and Bryan Baker, of Red Creek; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jimmer was raised in Oswego and worked for many years in Syracuse.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bicycling, kayaking, fishing and camping through all seasons.
He was a carefree light, and will be missed by everyone he touched.
Calling hours will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
