Dale ‘Chip’ R. Davis, 53

OSWEGO, NY – Dale “Chip” R. Davis, 53, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday January 28, 2013, at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.

Born in Rochester, he was the son of Dale D. (Jeanne) Davis of Cicero and the late Shirley Joyce (Germain) Davis (2003).

He received his Bachelor’s Degree of Arts at SUNY Oswego.

Chip was a self-employed contractor.

He was a musician and very good harmonica player.

He enjoyed kayaking, camping, bird watching and appreciated visual art.

Besides his father, he is survived by one daughter, Sarah Jane (Todd Hay) Davis of Deland, Fla.; one son, Kyle Borland Davis of Oswego; three sisters, Deborah (Roger) Sprague of Oswego, Laurie (Rich) Yule of Oswego and Kimberlee (Ryan) Buskey of New Haven; step siblings, Walter (Pam) Robinson of Mechanicville, NY, Cheryl (Stephen) Slate of Brownville, NY, and Deborah Morgan of Michigan; several nephews and nieces; many close friends who helped care for him; and his German Shepherd, Buster.

Calling hours will be held 3-5 p.m. Saturday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

Services and burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

  2. I would like to add that Chip also had step siblings: Walter Robinson and his wife Pam of Mechanicville, NY. Cheryl (Robinson)Slate and her husband Stephen Slate of Brownville, NY, and Deborah Morgan or Michigan.

    He will be missed dearly by all that have known him.

The Human Concerns Center Says ‘Thank You’
