FULTON, NY – On February 5, the students within the Fulton City School District in grades UPK – 12 will have an early dismissal. Grades 7 – 12 will dismiss at 10:30 a.m. and morning Pre K – 6 will dismiss at 11:15 a.m. There will be no afternoon Pre-K classes. Shortly after the polls closed Tuesday night, the Fulton Board of Education had the results: The 2013-2014 school budget passed. Along with the $65.3 million budget, incumbent board member David Carvey and newcomer Christine Plath were also elected.
The Oswego City School District’s 2013-14 budget was overwhelmingly approved by the voters Tuesday night. The unofficial results were 1,131 yes to 407 no. Voters also re-elected Kathleen Allen and Jim Tschudy. Heather DelConte was the second highest vote-getter.
The district is submitting its plan to the Supreme Court and State Education Department soon. District officials believe things will go smoothly and the school will be able to open at its new location, at 80 Dutch Road in the town of Scriba, in time for the start of the 2013-14 school year.
Janet H. Shepard, 58, of Homestead Ave., Phoenix, passed away on Tuesday May 21, 2013, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse, NY.
