Phena M. Pickard, 84

PHOENIX, NY – Phena M. Pickard, 84, of Pennellville, passed away at her home on Friday February 1, 2013.

She was born to her late parents, Lula (Shaver) and Maturin Hutchinson on July 9, 1928, in the town of Orwell, NY.

She was a graduate of Altmar High School.

Phena was a machine and packer operator for Sealright Co., Inc., Fulton, NY, now Huhtamaki, Inc.

She was a member of the Phoenix Memorial Post 5540, VFW, auxiliary.

Phena was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Lee Pickard on February 6, 2007; her two sisters, Charlotte E. Stevens and Ethel L. Staring.

Surviving are her many nieces and nephews; several grand-nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.

Spring burial in Pine Plains Cemetery, 8686 Henry Clay Blvd., Clay, NY 13041.

Calling hours will be held from noon to 2 p.m. the same day in the funeral home, prior to the service.
