In honor of Valentine’s Day, children are invited to volunteer at the Fulton Public Library on February 12 for ‘Have a Heart.’ Participants will be making cards and colored popcorn to be given to the seniors residing at the Ladies Home of Oswego.

Kathryn Justus, the AmeriCorps member serving at the Fulton Public Library, is coordinating the event. Justus has also been holding nutrition-themed events for children every Tuesday at the library for a program called ‘Read 4 Your Health.’

Volunteers will be meeting at the library’s children’s room from 4 to 5 p.m. on February 12 in order to make Valentine’s Day cards and popcorn treats. The gifts will then be distributed to those at the Ladies Home by members of Sigma Tau Delta, SUNY Oswego’s English Honor Society.
