‘Dial M’ Continues – ‘Best Man’ Auditions Announced

OSWEGO, NY – For the first time in recent memory, the Oswego Players needed to cancel last Friday’s performance and 75th season opening reception due to inclement weather forecasts.

Although the event was deflated by the super storm due to pass through the region overnight, the reception was moved to Saturday’s date.

The Players were honored to have Mayor Tom Gillen and his wife in attendance.

The good news is there is still next weekend to see this fine show.

Performances will continue February 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and February 17 at 2 p.m. – God willing and another big storm doesn’t kick up.

The hope is that our ever faithful audiences will continue its enthusiastic support.

For without our terrific patrons, the organization would not have existed these many years.

More good news – director Bobby Fontana is readying for auditions for the second selection of the 75th season.

Fontana has chosen Gore Vidal’s political composition, “The Best Man.”

Well crafted lines and characterizations will challenge all comers.

Readings from the script will take place on February 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. in the Frances Marion Brown Theatre.

There is no need to be a member.

Everyone is welcome.
