Mary O. Falise, 86

OSWEGO, NY – Mary O. Falise, 86, of Oswego, died peacefully Wednesday evening February 20, 2013, at her home with her family by her side.

Mrs. Falise was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Sekula) Oleyourryk.

She was a proud election inspector for the town of Minetto.

Mrs. Falise was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Falise of Oswego; sons, Michael J. (Marybeth Salisbury) Falise, Stanley P. (Terry) Falise and Stephen J. (Theresa Corradino) Falise all of Oswego; sister, Patricia (Earl) Bocko of Oswego; brothers, Jack (Rosemary) Oleyourryk of Latham and Raymond (Irene) Oleyourryk of Oswego; grandchildren, Michelle, Matthew, Jamie, Sarah, Ryan and Stephanie; and great-grandchildren, Colin, Alex, Josephine, Harrison, Jonathan, Matthew and Graham.

Mrs. Falise was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Diane Falise; brothers, Joseph, John and Edward Oleyourryk; and sisters, Helen Fultz, Sally Lisk and Frances Castle.

Funeral services and burial will be private.

The arrangements are in the care of the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.

Former Fulton Man Charged with Disorderly Conduct in Providence R.I.

According to authorities in Providence, R.I., a Fulton man is somehow involved in an assault that left a college basketball player hospitalized in critical condition. Around 2:23 a.m. on May 12, Joseph Sharkey, a Brown University basketball player was punched in the head, leaving him seriously injured. Sharkey fractured his skull on the concrete and was taken to a Rhode Island hospital. A Connecticut man was charged with the assault. Dillon James “DJ” Ingham of Fulton was charged with one count of disorderly conduct related to the incident.
