While we are not expecting hundreds, we are hoping to set a new record for an author visit to the Oswego Public Library!  Please join us.

Author and speaker Buske will be at the library at 6:12 p.m.

She is a catalyst for others affected by tragedy.

Her sister’s abduction in 1994 left her depressed and lonely, yet with God’s hand at work in her heart and life, true healing took place.

Buske’s book opens with a phone call.

The answering machine picks up and records her aunt’s voice as she utters words Lisa will never forget, “Heidi is missing!”

The beginning of the book focuses on the first minutes, hours, and days following that ominous phone call.

A flashback to the last evening they spent together introduces the reader to the cheerful and optimistic 18-year-old before she is ripped from their lives.

April 3, 2013, marked the 19th anniversary of Heidi’s kidnapping with the same three words still ringing true today.

Heidi is missing.

It took Lisa years to realize Heidi was forever gone and she was not alone.

“Where’s Heidi? One Sister’s Journey” is written to release the brother or sister trapped within themselves “going through the motions” of life from unneeded years of pain and
loneliness.
