Fulton PD – July 20-26, 2009

Thomas S. Fitzmaurice, 929 Oak St., Syracuse was charged with criminal mischief and harassment at 10:41 p.m. July 20.  Police allege he hit a woman in the face and choked her, threw objects at her and broke a closet door.

William F. Baum, 3rd of 60 N. 7th St., Fulton was arrested at 12:14 p.m. July 22 on a warrant alleging he drove on April 23 with a suspended driver’s license.

Paul J. Lapointe of 2830 County Route 57, Fulton was arrested at 3:35 a.m. July 23 at 212 W. 3rd St. in Fulton on a warrant from Fulton City Court for aggravate harassment, for allegedly sending threatening text messages to a person on June 14.

Matthew A. Richardson of 7 N. 7th St., Fulton was charged at 1:24 p.m. July 23 with criminal contempt and criminal mischief for allegedly violating an order of protection and, during an argument with the victim, pulling a phone cord out of the wall to prevent a call to the 911 Center.

Kendrick Bessard of 124 Wentworth Terrace, Syracuse was charged at 11:05 p.m. July 22 with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon. Police allege that while at the Wilson Farms store, he swung a 3 or 4 inch long knife at a person, causing that person to back up to avoid being cut.

Dakota N. Brokhoff of 364 W. 3rd St., Fulton was charged with petit larceny at 7:22 p.m. July 23.  Police allege he stole a pair of Mongoose racing gloves from a store.

Charles M. Spencer of 367 W. 3rd St., Fulton was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon at 12:23 p.m. July 24. Police allege that while at the Wilson Farms store, Spencer picked up a metal pipe from his car’s trunk and walked towards the victim with it, backing the person against the wall of the store.

James J. Castiglia of 141 W. 3rd St., Fulton was arrested at 4:45 p.m. July 24 on several traffic related counts: unlicensed operator, uninspected vehicle, failing to signal turn, aggravated unlicensed operator, failing to stop for stop sign and no tail lights. Police allege that while driving on Schuyler St., Castiglia’s car did not have a working left taillight and failed to stop at a stop sign.  Police say his license had been revoked and inspection expired in April.

Shalva J. Clark of 610 7th St. N., Fulton was charged with two counts of DWI, failing to keep right and failing to signal a lane change at 9:54 p.m. July 24.  Police allege she was driving on Route 481 near River Glen Plaza when her car crossed the double solid line, then changed lanes without signaling, nearly hitting another car.  Police allege she failed field sobriety tests and a breath test found a blood alcohol level above 0.18%.

George A. Sedner of 6 Deneshea Pl., Fulton was arrested at 11:09 p.m. July 23 on an arrest warrant issued in Onondaga County.

Gerald W. Collins of 803 W. 3rd St., Fulton was charged with two counts of DWI and failing to keep right at 10:51 p.m. July 24.  Police allege he failed to stay in the right lane of W. 1st St. S, crossing lanes several times. Police allege he failed all five field sobriety tests given to him and a breath test found a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.

Jerry S. Brown, Jr. of 753 James St., Syracuse was charged at 2:08 a.m. July 25 with two counts of DWI, loud muffler and improper lane use.  Police allege Brown’s car swerved several times into the passing lane along S. Second St. and that the car had a broken muffler that was loud.  Police allege Brown failed all three field sobriety tests and a breath test found a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.

Brandon J. Smith of 8250 Wheatberry Way, Clay was charged at 3:18 a.m. July 25 with two counts of DWI. Police allege Smith drove his car into the curbing along Route 481 several times.  Police allege he failed three field sobriety tests and a breath test found a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.

Terry L. Firenze, II was charged at 8:32 p.m. July 24 with an open container code violation for having an open 40-ounce bottle of beer with him in his pickup truck.

Harold L. Dickson of 363 W. 3rd St., Fulton and 8515 Michigan Ave., Cicero was charged at 10:55 p.m. July 22 with assault.  Police allege that at the Wilson Farms store on Broadway, Dickson punched a person in the face, causing a cut lip.

Donald E. Bort, Jr. of 630 W. 3rd St., Fulton was charged at 6:36 p.m. July 25 with criminal mischief and child endangerment.  Police allege that during an argument in a moving car, he punched and broke the passenger side mirror, which caused a child in the back seat to begin crying.

William J. Eason, III of 104 Hartson St., Syracuse was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to obey a traffic control device at 11:08 p.m. July 26.  Police allege that Eason failed to stop his car at a red light on N. 2nd St. and was driving with a suspended license.

Matthew E. Rewkowski of 620 Dewitt St., Syracuse was arrested at 1:37 a.m. July 26 and charged with criminal possession of
a weapon in the 4th degree, unlawful possession of marihuana, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a BAC greater than .18%, and speed in zone.  Police allege Rewkowski was driving 40 miles an hour in a 30 mile an hour zone, failed two field sobriety tests, had a baggie of what appeared to be marijuana in the car, had brass knuckles in the glove box and had a breath test that showed a blood alcohol level above 0.18%.

Patrick A. Brown of 415 1/2 Highland St., Fulton was charged with DWI and DWI with a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.  Police allege that they found a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that had just left Burger King after an alleged disturbance.  At the traffic stop along E. Broadway, Brown allegedly failed three of four field sobriety tests and a breath test found a blood alcohol level above 0.08%.

Scott M. Wayman of 1100 Emery St., Fulton was charged at 7:58 p.m. July 24 with a code violation for having an open container of Busch Light beer while in the parking lot of C building.
