American Red Cross to Hold 4th Annual Bridges to Caring Walk

Put on your sneakers, grab a friend and come walk with the American Red Cross. On Saturday, September 26th the American Red Cross will be holding its 4th Annual Bridges to Caring Walk in Fulton. The Walk starts at the Fulton Price Chopper crosses the bridge loops around the river and crosses back over the bridge around to Price Chopper. This year’s even sponsors include Price Chopper, Constellation Energy, Windstream Communication, Pathfinder Bank and NRG Oswego Harbor Power. This is a fun walk that every one of all ages and abilities can enjoy. The first 100 registrants will receive a free t-shirt, and everyone who pre-registers will have their name entered into a drawing for the “Health Living Basket”. Pre-registration is $15 and will be accepted up until September 18th. After that registration day of the even will be $20.

 The Healthy Living Basket is full of wonderful surprises that encourage a healthy lifestyle. It includes gift certificates from the Oswego YMCA, the Fulton YMCA. Riverview Wellness, various fitness centers, and many other gifts donated by local merchants. The basket is valued at over $750 with the winner’s name being drawn the day of the Walk. You MUST pre-register to be eligible for this drawing.

There will also be a “pledge reward” program where walkers can earn rewards for donations they collect from friends, families, co-workers and any sponsors prior to the Walk.
