G. Ray Bodley High School might be short on parking spaces and home fields for some fall athletic teams, but one thing it’s not short on is school spirit. Evidence of this was during the school’s recent spirit week and pep rally where a sea of red, white and green filled the school’s gymnasium. From freshman to seniors, teaching staff to administrators all of GRB High School united to celebrate school spirit and promote a positive school environment. During the assembly male and female fall athletes were introduced and the audience enjoyed entertaining performances by the Raider Cheerleading Squad and Dance Team. Special awards were presented in a variety of areas including homecoming king DJ Ingham and homecoming queen Erica Clark. In addition, two students from each grade level along with two teachers were presented with the 2009 Most Spirit Award. This year’s recipients were: 9th graders Patrick Fink and Sydnee Plato; 10th graders Kyle King and Sadie Adamy; 11th graders Dylan Rizzo and Kayla Hanczyk; 12th graders Travis Cowart and Erica Clark; teachers Mr. Michael Thurlow and Mrs. Bobbie Jo Clayton.
