Sheriff’s Office, 11/09/09

Nov 09, 2009 at 9:43 am

On 11/05/09, Graeme J. Anderson, 42, of 208 Ravine St., Canastota, NY, was operating a 2003 GMC suburban southbound on CR 6 in the Town of Volney at 3:54 p.m. when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle 2/10 of a mile north of Emery Road. Reportedly, the vehicle went off the east side of the roadway and struck a utility pole with its passenger side door area causing a large section of the pole to break out from the base and top area that was connected to the overhead wires. The vehicle overturned once and came to rest on its wheels past the base of the utility pole. Slippery pavement and failure to keep right appear to have been contributing factors in the incident. Road conditions were reported to be wet from rain at the time of the incident.

On 11/06/09 at 11:53 a.m., Amber N. Farley, 27, of 1644 CR 8, Fulton, NY, was arrested for Filing a False Written Statement and Falsely Reporting an Incident, Third Degree, both class A misdemeanors, after she allegedly filed a complaint while at her residence in the Town of Granby on 10/21/09 reporting she had been raped twice, on 10/15/09 and again on 10/18/09 by the same man. Mr. Farley was issued appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Granby Court on 11/16/09.

On 11/07/09 at 2:26 a.m., Jessica L. DePaolo, 23, of 213 West Stone Road, New Haven, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, and Failed to Dim Lights, following a traffic stop on CR 4 just west of CR 176 in the Town of Scriba. Ms. DePaolo, driving eastbound on CR 4, reportedly engaged her high beam lights and left them on as she drove past a westbound patrol unit. Ms. DePaolo was released on tickets returnable to Town of Scriba Court on 11/26/09. The arrest was made during a STOP-DWI detail.

On 11/07/09, Aldreth N. Holzwarth, 80, of 283 Pangborn Road, Hastings, NY, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet northbound on CR 37 at 3:29 p.m. when he reportedly failed to stop at the red light at the intersection of SR 49, crossing into the path of a 2002 Dodge suburban being driven westbound on SR 49 by Katherine A. Savage, 38, of 334 Grannis Road, West Monroe, NY. The Dodge collided with the Chevrolet causing the Chevrolet to spin into a 2007 Kia suburban that was stopped at the traffic light facing northbound and driven by Kim C. Moran, 43, of 1693 CR 37, West Monroe, NY. Mr. Holzwarth was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse. Traffic control disregard appears to have been the contributing factor in the incident.

On 11/07/09 at 4:09 p.m., Jamie L. Stevens, 24, of 1204 Middle Road, Oswego, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Village of Baldwinsville Court. Mr. Stevens was turned over to a member of the Baldwinsville Police Department for further processing.

On 11/07/09 at 5:15 p.m., John M. Schultz, 36, of 895 CR 85, Hannibal, NY, was arrested at his residence for Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after he was accused of failing to return a digital camera he had borrowed. Mr. Schultz was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Hannibal Court on 11/09/09. At 6:32 p.m., while at the Public Safety Building, Mr. Schultz was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (16 suspensions, 12 on 5 dates: license suspended on 10/11/96 for failure to pay child support; 10/08/99 for failure to pay child support; 1/04/05 for driving while ability impaired by alcohol; 3/08/99 for a court revocation; 1/13/07, four times for failure to answer a summons in Onondaga County Town of Salina; 6/14/04, three times for failure to answer a summons in Orange County, Town of Newburgh; 9/05/01, twice for failure to answer a summons Oswego County Town of Volney; 11/16/96 for failure to pay a fine Oswego County Town of Granby; and 12/04/93, twice for failure to answer a summons Oswego Town of Volney).
