On 11/8/09 at 10:49 a.m., Harry J. Sixberry, 27, of 2788 CR 4 Hall Rd., Fulton, NY was operating a 2000 Ford pick up east on SR 3 in the Town of Volney when at the intersection with CR 6, a 1999 Ford being operated by Samantha Jane Welch, 16, of 221 Seneca St., Fulton, NY, reportedly entered the intersection and collided with Mr. Sixberry vehicle. Ms. Welch and two passengers, Alexis S. Rivera, 16 and Tony J. Morgan, 15 were all taken by ambulance to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Failure to yield the right of way seems to have been a contributing factor.

On 11/9/09, Carl Constantine, 64, of 451 Bergen St. Apt # 3L, Brooklyn, NY was arrested at 5:10 p.m. in Brooklyn, New York after being detained by the King South Warrant Squad based on a Superior Court Warrant issued by the Hon. Judge Hafner, Oswego County Court charging him with Assault, 2nd degree, Attempted Assault, 2nd degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Mr. Constantine was transported back to Oswego County held in the Oswego County Correctional Facility with a court appearance on 11/10/09 in front of Hon. Judge Hafner to answer the charges.

On 11/10/09 at 2:00 a.m., William J. Blount, 17, of 234 French St., Central Square, NY was arrested for Assault, Third Degree, a class E felony following the investigation into an incident which reportedly occurred in the Town of Hastings where he punched an individual in the face repeatedly with his fists. Mr. Blount was released on an appearance ticket, returnable to the T/O Hastings Court on 11/30/09.

The Fulton District Wide Storytelling Festival was held and storytellers from throughout the district showcased their talents in telling a wide variety of stories.
