Jose L. ‘JoJo’ Rosas, 63

OSWEGO, NY – Jose L. “JoJo” Rosas, 63, of Oswego, NY, passed suddenly at his home on Saturday April 6, 2019.

He was born in Puerto Rico and he had been a resident of Oswego since April 2016.

Mr. Rosas was a United States veteran having served for 13 years in the Navy.

He worked for several years as a school bus driver in Manhattan, NY, and as a truck driver for a pharmaceutical company, NYC, and Hostal Hotel, NYC.

JoJo was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Rosas enjoyed listening and dancing with his family to Spanish music especially Salsa.

He was an animal lover and he loved to fatten them up with food and attention.

Mr. Rosas is survived by his wife of 35 years, Judith “Ma” Guzman of Oswego; children: Natashia Rosas of Florida, Paul Zavala of Florida, Ray Rosas of Florida, Tiffany Rosas of Florida and Xenia Lebron of Oswego; his father, Agustin Rosas of Puerto Rico; his brother, Gus Rosas of Puerto Rico; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his mother, Blanca Torres.

Funeral service and burial will be held privately.

There will be no calling hours.

The Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego, has care of the arrangements.
