On 10/30/09 at 12:19 p.m., a 15 year old female residing in the Town of Granby was taken into custody based on a warrant issued by Oswego County Family Court. The girl appeared before the Hon. Kimberly Seager, Oswego County Family Court, and was placed in a non-secure detention home where she will remain until her next court appearance on 11/10/09.
On 10/30/09 at 9:35 p.m., Fidel A. Hernandez, 38, of 19 Waterview Drive, Lot 36, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Assault, Third Degree, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, both class A misdemeanors. On 10/31/09, Ruth G. Hernandez, 31, of the same address, was arrested for Endangering the
Welfare of a Child. The arrests stem from a domestic incident that occurred on 10/30/09 at their residence during which Mr. Hernandez was accused of causing physically injury to a victim’s face and mouth when he reportedly punched the victim with a closed fist, while in the presence of minors. Mr. Hernandez was arraigned before the Hon. Michael Sterio, Town of Oswego Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 11/02/09. Ms. Hernandez was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge before Town of Oswego Court on 11/02/09 and released.
On 10/31/09 at 1:02 a.m., Robert A. Wavle, 33, of 1105 CR 8, Fulton, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, First Degree, all class E felonies, and Failed to Keep Right, following an investigation into a motor vehicle accident that occurred on CR 3 in the Town of Granby. Mr. Wavle was operating a 1999 Chevrolet van eastbound on CR 3 at 11:39 p.m. when he reportedly went off the south side of the roadway just west of CR 8, and with an attempt to re-enter the roadway, over-corrected and traveled across the opposite lane of traffic through a front yard where he struck a tree. Mr. Wavle was arraigned before the Hon. Bruce Wells, Town of Granby Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 11/02/09.
On 10/31/09 at 6:15 a.m., a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Volney was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Third Degree, a class A misdemeanor, after being accused of taking a vehicle from his residence without permission. The youth was issued an appearance ticket to answer the charge before Town of Volney Court on 11/09/09 and released.
On 11/01/09 at 2:01 a.m., Eric A. Belge, 34, of 23 Pollard Road, Apt. 3, Hannibal, NY, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, a class D felony; Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, a class D felony; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, First Degree, a class E felony; and Failed to Keep Right following a traffic stop in the Village of Hannibal after he was observed crossing over a double solid center line twice while traveling south on Auburn St. Mr. Belge was arraigned before the Hon. Eugene Hafner, Town of Hannibal Court, and released. He is scheduled to return to court on 11/03/09.
On 11/01/09 at 2:42 a.m., Aaron M. Levey, 21, of 89 Candlewood Gardens, Baldwinsville, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony; Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, First Degree, a class E felony (license suspended 11/26/06 for a DWI conviction); Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor (Oxycodone); and Crossed Hazardous Road Markings, after he was reportedly observed crossing the hazard markings on the right side of the roadway traveling to the edge of the shoulder while driving southbound on SR 48. Mr. Levey was arraigned before Town of Hannibal Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Minetto Court on 11/19/09.
On 11/01/09 at 3:37 a.m., a 17 year old male residing in the Town of Oswego, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, Failed to Keep Right, and Crossed Hazardous Road Markings, following a traffic stop on CR 4 after he was reportedly observed swerving over the white fog line and the center line of the roadway twice to either side, coming in very close proximity to a male who was walking down the road on the same side. The youth was released on tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Scriba Court on 11/19/09.
On 11/01/09 at 2:45 p.m., Kyle R. Johnson, 21, and Billy J. Crysler, 24, both of 7821 Mill Road, Cleveland, NY, and of were each arrested for Petit Larceny, a class A misdemeanor, after being accused of stealing alcohol from the FasTrac in the Village of Central Square. Mr. Johnson was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Village of Central Square Court on 11/18/09.
On 11/02/09, Ana M. Nier, 20, of 27 SR 69A, Parish, NY, was operating a 2005 Saturn Suburban westbound on South Railroad Street in the Village of Parish at 4:45 a.m. when she reportedly fell asleep causing the vehicle to strike a utility pole on the south side of the road, then continue through and strike a street sign approximately 30 feet southwest of the utility pole. The incident occurred ¼ of a mile west of Woodview Drive. Ms. Nier was transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse.
