On 11/09/09, Nathan A. DeLorto, 22, of 26861 Libby Lanes, Evans Mills, NY, was operating a 2000 Kia suburban northbound on I-81 in the Town of Richland at 5:07 a.m. when he reportedly veered off the west side of the roadway and struck a sign post. Mr. DeLorto reportedly attempted to enter the roadway sideways causing the vehicle to roll onto the driver’s side, become airborne, landing on its roof in the median. Mr. DeLorto, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Watertown. Unsafe speed and animal’s action appear to have been contributing factors, with Mr. DeLorto reporting he served to avoid hitting a deer.

On 11/11/09 at 10:00 p.m., Cheryl M. Hermann, 28, of 2754 CR 6, Fulton, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (suspended 10/30/09 for failure to answer a summons in the City of Oswego and a lapse in her insurance), Inadequate Plate Lamp, and Failure to Notify Commissioner of Change of Address, following a traffic stop on CR 6 in the Town of Volney. Ms. Hermann was released on tickets returnable to Town of Volney Court on 11/23/09.

On 11/13/09 at 10:56 a.m., Kevin M. Leonard, 19, of 18 Josephine Drive, Washingtonville, NY, was arrested for Reckless Driving, an Unclassified Misdemeanor, and ticketed for Speed Not Reasonable and Prudent, Driver’s View Obstructed, and Speed Over the State Speed Limit of 55, following a traffic stop on SR 481 in the Town of Volney. Mr. Leonard is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Volney Court on 12/07/09. The traffic stop was initiated after he was observed driving at a high rate of speed in the passing lane while northbound on SR 481, reportedly passing several other vehicles at the time.

On 11/13/09 at 11:30 a.m., Andres Perez, III, 17, of 1151 CR 3, Lot 4, Hannibal, NY, was arrested for Assault, Second Degree, a class D felony, stemming from a domestic incident during which he was accused of causing physical injury to a female victim after striking her in the wrist and arm with a hammer. Mr. Perez was arraigned before the Hon. Stanley Jung, Town of Oswego Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Town of Hannibal Court on 11/17/09 to answer the charges.

On 11/14/09 at 1:44 a.m., Brian A. Murray, 30, of 155 Swift Street, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, following an investigation after he was found sleeping behind the wheel of a car that was parked on the side of CR 20 in the Town of Oswego with the car door partially open and the vehicle running. Mr. Murray was issued tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Oswego Court on a later date.

On 11/14/09 at 7:35 p.m., John A. Nearbin, 48, of 18 E. Fifth St., Oswego, NY, was arrested at the Oswego Police Department based on a warrant issued by Oswego County Family Court, charging him with violating Article IV of the Family Court Act (failure to pay support). Mr. Nearbin was arraigned before the Hon. Patricia Kerfien, Town of Volney Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Oswego County Family Court on 11/16/09.

On 11/15/09 at 1:38 p.m., Jason M. Krokenberger 28, of 202 Frazer Road, Pulaski, NY, was arrested based on a warrant issued by Village of Pulaski Court charging him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree. Mr. Krokenberger was arraigned before Town of Richland Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $1,500 bail bond. He is scheduled to appear before Village of Pulaski Court on 11/18/09.

On 11/16/09 at 1:26 a.m., Jessica Naioti, 24, of 20 W. Eleventh St., Apt. 3, Fulton, NY, was arrested based on a Violation of Probation warrant, Ms. Naioti was transported to the Oswego County Correctional Facility where she is being held without bail pending a court appearance in Fulton City Court on 11/16/09.
