Sheriff’s Office, 11/24/09

On 11/22/09 at 1:02 p.m., Steven D. Burdick, 43, of 4102 Bldg# SR 3, Fulton, NY was arrested for AUO, Third Degree ( suspended on 8/14/09 for failure to appear); Obstructing Governmental Administration, Second Degree; Operating Motor Vehicle w/o Inspection Sticker and Endangering the Welfare of a Child following a traffic stop on SR 49 in the Village of Central Square, while patrol was conducting a Traffic Checkpoint. Mr. Burdick was reportedly asked to exit his vehicle repeatedly and yet he allegedly refused while holding on to a child and continuing to argue with the deputy. Mr. Burdick was arraigned in the Central Square Village Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility on $1000.00 cash bail with a return to court on 12/2/09.

On 11/23/09 at 12:42 p.m., K. Jessica Corey, 27, of 105 Mason Road, Mexico, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, No/Inadequate Plate Lamp, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor, following a traffic stop on SR 104 just east of CR 53 in the Town of Scriba. Ms. Corey was arraigned before the Hon. Kenneth Adkins, Town of Scriba Court, and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to reappear in court on 12/03/09. The traffic stop was initiated after the vehicle she was operating was observed having no rear plate lamp. Further investigation found Ms. Corey to have an expired prescription bottle in her name in the vehicle containing several pills, including Cymbalta, Lyrica, Acetaminophen-Oxycodone, Acetaminophen-Codeine and Guaifenesin.
