Ricardo Rivera, 38, of 717 W. Broadway Apt. #6, Fulton

The subject was charged at about 2:39 a.m. Nov. 25 with second-degree criminal contempt.
According to the police report: the above defendant was arrested after an investigation determined that he allegedly violated a duly served order of protection by having contact with the protected party.
He was arraigned and remanded to Oswego County Jail in lieu of $500 bail.
He is to appear in court on Dec. 1.

The Oswego High School Class of  2011 is prepared to begin its march toward June 25 graduation exercises at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center. However, the members of the Class of 2010 have made their mark and are moving to their next life step.

Nathaniel V. Ellis graduated from the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Daleville, Ala., and was appointed to the rank of warrant officer one.

The Curse of the Silverback, the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari’s newest water ride, which debuted in 2009, is expected to continue to draw visitors with its unique purple and black appeal and daring silverback theme.  Riders experience a 100 foot drop into a large 40-ft diameter bowl where they circle the bowl dropping out the middle into the splash pool below.
