Sheriff’s Office, 12/04/09

On 12/03/09 at 11:22 a.m., Michael D. Joy, 32, of 819 Pangborn Road, Central Square, NY, was arrested for Criminal Mischief, Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that occurred outside of his residence when he reportedly broke the winch cable to a tow truck that was hooked to his vehicle by driving the vehicle from his residence as a tow operator was attempting to remove that vehicle. Mr. Joy was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Palermo Court on 12/07/09.

On 12/03/09 at 11:31 a.m., Frederick E. Carvey, Jr., 53, of 1344 CR 3, Hannibal, NY, was arrested based on a bench warrant issued by Fulton City Court charging him with Violation of Probation (Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, Seventh Degree, a class A misdemeanor). Mr. Carvey was taken into custody and turned over to a member of the Oswego County Probation Department for further processing.

On 12/02/09 at 11:25 p.m., Mary J. Brown, 38, of 5350 SR 104, Lot 17, Oswego, NY, and on 12/04/09 at 1:02 a.m., Carol A. Elmer, 48, of 1076 Rathburn Road, Oswego, NY, were both served a criminal summons charging each of them with Harassment, Second Degree, a violation, stemming from an incident that occurred in the Town of Scriba on 11/18/09 during an argument between the two women. Ms. Elmer was accused of pushing her victim with her body. Ms. Brown is accused of slapping her victim in the face. The two women are scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Scriba Court on 12/10/09.

What’s New 2010 at Enchanted Forest Water Safari

The Curse of the Silverback, the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari’s newest water ride, which debuted in 2009, is expected to continue to draw visitors with its unique purple and black appeal and daring silverback theme.  Riders experience a 100 foot drop into a large 40-ft diameter bowl where they circle the bowl dropping out the middle into the splash pool below.
