Saturday’s Varsity Scoreboard

Wrestling:

Fulton takes 2nd place at Horseheads tourney.  The Red Raiders swept easily through the field at the Mark Stephens Classics, shuttingn out two teams 84-0 and letting no team score more than 31 points until a 51-29 loss in the final round to Penfield, the tournament’s unbeaten champion.

Anderson Tournament:  Oswego placed 12th of 19 schools, led by 189 pound winner Shane Bartrum.

Girls Basketeball:

Oswego 44, Massena 31

Katie Abramski’s 11 points helped Oswego take the consolation game of the J-D Tip-off Classic.

Boys Hockey:

Fulton 3, F-M 3

The Red Raiders scored twice in the final period to force overtime, then fought a scoreless OT period to becoe co-champions of their own tournament.  Steven Segouin scored twice for Fulton, while Kara Pafumi stopped 4 shots.  F-M keeper had to stop 40 shots.

Oswego 6, Irondequoit 1

Six Bucs scored, and Frederick Donabella added two assists to his goal.  Matt Howard stopped 17 shots and Chase Izk stopped 5 more.

Indoor Track

Jack Morse Relays: Fulton finished tied for 10th and Oswego took 12th on the girls’ side, while Oswego was 9th and Fulton 11th on the boys’ side.
