Job Corps Orientation March 24 in Fulton

Job Corps, administered by the U.S. Dept. of Labor, offers free career technical training for 16 – 24 year olds in the following areas: automotive mechanics, auto body repair, medical & business office, C.N.A., L.P.N, construction trades, culinary arts, security guard and more.
The program includes up to two years education and training, campus housing, meals and many other services.
There is no cost to eligible students. Both high school graduates and non-graduates are encouraged to apply. If needed, a student can also get a GED at the same time they train for a career at Job Corps.
Orientation and Application Interviews will be held on Wednesday, March 24th at 10:30am at Oswego County Workforce NY, 200 N. 2nd St., Fulton, NY. Interested students must call (315) 478-5529 Ext. 102 to see if they are eligible for the program and to find out what documents to bring.

The Curse of the Silverback, the Enchanted Forest/Water Safari’s newest water ride, which debuted in 2009, is expected to continue to draw visitors with its unique purple and black appeal and daring silverback theme. Riders experience a 100 foot drop into a large 40-ft diameter bowl where they circle the bowl dropping out the middle into the splash pool below.
