Sheriff’s Office, 3/08/10
On 3/02/10 at 1:03 p.m., Nicholus P. Barner, 27, of 7146 SR 104A, Red Creek, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended 5/10/09 for failing to pay a fine in Madison County and on 9/21/06 for failing to answer a summons in Cayuga County); Failure to Notify Commissioner of Change of Address; Back Seat Passenger Under 4 Without Seat Belt; and One Plate Displayed, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving a vehicle with no front plate while eastbound on SR 3 in the Town of Granby. Mr. Barner was arraigned before Town of Hannibal Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear before Town of Granby Court on 3/30/10.
On 3/05/10 at 12:45 p.m., Anthony S. Hemingway, 34, of 3282 Fulton Ave., Central Square, NY, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle after he allegedly borrowed a vehicle from a friend on 3/04/10 and reportedly had not returned the vehicle. Mr. Hemingway was released on an appearance ticket returnable to Town of Hastings Court on 3/10/10.
On 3/05/10 at 1:38 p.m., Mark F. Mace, 40, of 233 Tug Hill Road, Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended three times on 8/06/09 for failing to pay a fine in the Town of Oswego); Failed to Stop at a Stop Sign; and Unregistered Motor Vehicle, following a traffic stop on Tug Hill Road after he reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign intersection at Bunker Hill Road. Mr. Mace was issued tickets and released and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Oswego Court on 3/29/10.
On 3/05/10 at 2:50 p.m., Richard Boose, 21, of 495 New Scriba Drive, Orwell, NY, was arrested for Sexual Abuse, First Degree, a class D felony, and Endangering the Welfare of a Child, a class A misdemeanor, stemming from an incident that took place in December, 2009, at a Village of Sandy Creek residence, when he allegedly subjected a female under the age of 17 to sexual contact while she was sleeping. Mr. Boose was arraigned before the Hon. Amy Pastuf, Town of Richland Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to answer the charge before Town of Sandy Creek Court at a later date.
On 3/06/10 at 1:37 a.m., Jack H. Schirtz, 24, of 63 Lawrence St., Oswego, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Third Degree (license suspended 9/20/09, 2 scoffs on 1 date in the Town of Clay), and Insufficient Lighting, following a traffic stop in the Town of Volney after he was observed operating a vehicle that had no illuminated rear plate lamp while driving northbound on SR 481. Mr. Schirtz was released on tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges before Town of Volney Court on 3/15/10.
On 3/06/10 at 2:54 a.m., Frederick A. Borrow, 33, of 56 W. Third St., S., Fulton, NY, was charged with Operation While Registration Suspended (insurance lapse on 1/06/10) following a traffic stop in the City of Fulton. Mr. Borrow was released on a ticket returnable to Fulton City Court on 3/18/10.
On 3/06/10 at 1:04 p.m., Terry L. Cronk, 32, of 38 Bert Howard Drive, Central Square, NY, was arrested based on an arrest warrant issued by Village of Sandy Creek Court charging him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree, and Insufficient Lighting. Mr. Cronk was arraigned before Village of Central Square Court and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $500 cash bail or $1,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 3/10/10. The warrant stems from an arrest that occurred on 11/27/09 when he was observed driving on SR 49 with only one headlight.
On 3/07/10 at 2:30 a.m., Robert J. Taylor, 22, of 2901 SR 48, Oswego, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated; Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol; Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, First Degree, a class E felony; Driving in Violation of Restriction on License; Insufficient Lighting; and Failed to Keep Right, following a traffic stop in the Town of Minetto after the vehicle he was driving was observed with no working plate lamps and after he was observed swerving on the roadway. Mr. Taylor was arraigned before the Hon. Alan Williams, Town of Minetto Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 3/11/10 to answer the charges.
On 3/07/10 at 3:48 a.m., Joseph P. Kushner, 35, of 744 Red Schoolhouse Road and 89 Sundown Road, Fulton, NY, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Driving With .08 of One Percent or More of Alcohol, and Crossed Hazardous Road Markings, following a traffic stop after he was observed driving across the center line, the vehicle straddling the center line for approximately 1/10 of a mile. Mr. Kushner was arraigned before the Hon. Richard Burton, Town of Schroeppel Court, and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to reappear in court on 3/16/10.
On 3/07/10 at 11:50 p.m., Thomas M. Babcock, 41, of 508 S. Albion Road, Altmar, NY, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, Second Degree (license revoked based on three suspensions, one on 2/29/04 for a DWAI conviction, one on 2/29/04 for Operation Without Insurance, and one on 3/01/04 for three speeding misdemeanors), and Speed Over the State Speed Limit, following a traffic stop on SR 481 in the Town of Volney. Mr. Babcock was arraigned before the Hon. Patricia Kerfien, Town of Volney Court, and remanded to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 bail bond. He is scheduled to return to court on 3/22/10.
