Donald L. Wilcox, 71, of Co Rt. 6, New Haven, passed away May 21, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Wainwright, OK, he was the son of the late Leo Wayne and Vivian “Bea†(Weaver) Wilcox.
He was a US Marine Veteran serving from 1958 to 1964.
Don retired from Niagara Mohawk as a Maintenance Supervisor.
He was a New Haven Volunteer Fireman, a member of the Masons and coached girls summer softball.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara (Lancaster) Wilcox; three daughters, Donna Wilcox of New Haven; Sammie Wilcox of Phoenix; Nicole (James) O’Reilly of Mexico; two sons, Michael (Karen) Wilcox and David (Julie) Wilcox, both of New Haven; a brother, H. Lee Wilcox of Ca; a sister, Betty Chappel of Warner, OK; ten grandchildren, Samantha (Matthew) Halsey, Ryan (Kelly) Wilcox, Susan Wilcox, Rebecca Wilcox, Austin O’Reilly, Joshua O’Reilly, Jacob O’Reilly, Simon Wilcox, Maggie Sue Wilcox and Mason Wilcox, Don’s eleventh grandchild is due to be born in Mid-February; great-grandchildren, Hunter Halsey, Jayden Halsey, Angel-Lee Halsey and Nicholas Wilcox; and many friends like family.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00a.m. Wednesday at the New Haven United Methodist Church. Burial will be in New Haven Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 5-8p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
