Sheriff Sends Kids to Summer Camp

Jul 27, 2010 at 6:00 am
Children between the ages of nine and twelve from throughout Oswego County are shown just before boarding a bus on Sunday, 7/11/10, to begin an adventure at the 34th Annual New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute’s Summer Camp located at Penn Yan, New York. Oswego County Sheriff, Reuel A. Todd, (standing in back) was on hand to see them off. While at Camp Iroquois the youngsters spend a week filled with fun activities, including DARE presentations, boat and bike safety programs, law enforcement equipment and technical demonstrations, and pistol and archery competitions, activities that will afford them a better understanding of the men and women who enforce laws. Chosen to attend this year from Oswego County were: Autumn Caldwell, Casey Christian, Makaylee Gareau, Dyerin Gareau, Joshua Gareau, Andrea Geer, Cerenity Geer, and Joshua Pool (T/Richland), Robert Checke (C/Fulton), Christopher DeLosh, Aaron Farmer, and Troy Frazier (T/Sandy Creek), Christina Dobson (T/Orwell), Jacob Friot, Hannah Revoir, and Brian Shaw (V/Pulaski), Heather MicGlire (V/Hannibal), and Lindsey Proper (T/Albion).
