Leighton Playground Fundraiser In Full Swing

OSWEGO, NY – On June 4 at Breitbeck Pavilion the Leighton Home and School Association will hold a community yard sale from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Anyone interested in donating items for the effort can call Beth Clark at 216-4992 for drop-off/pick-up information or rent their own table under the pavilion for $8.

There will also be a bottle and can drive – drop off, along with a tax deductible electronic recycling fundraiser taking place as well.

Cell phones, inkjet printer cartridges (no toner please), laptop and notebook computers, iPads and tablets, gold, silver, platinum jewelry, Apple iPods and MP3 players, digital SLR cameras and lenses, digital cameras, digital video cameras, portable GPS units, radar detectors, E-book readers, mobile hot spots and WiFi devices, 4G USB Air Cards, handheld game systems (PSP, Nintendo DS etc), game consoles (Nintendo Wii, PS3, Xbox etc.) Range Finders and sky caddies and TI graphing calculators will be collected.

Take-out chicken barbecue will be held from noon – 3 p.m., for $8 per dinner that includes Gibby’s famous half chicken, salt potatoes, baked beans and a roll.

Group deliveries within city limits are available and arranged at time of pre-sale.

Cayuga CC Board of Trustees issues statement of support of president, administration; fails to reach agreement with Faculty Association

During a special meeting of the Cayuga Community College Board of Trustees, the board issued a statement in support of college president Daniel P. Larson and the administration. The board also issued a statement that said it was unable to reach an agreement with the Faculty Association to help address the financial situation facing the college.
