Information on Obtaining Health Insurance at Cover The Uninsured Event

OSWEGO, NY – Community members seeking information on healthcare coverage can attend a Healthcare Coverage Fair to be held from 3 to 5 p.m. March 27 in the lobby of Oswego Hospital.

The event is being coordinated by Oswego Health, Oswego County Opportunities Health (OCO), the Rural Health Network and the Pulaski Health Center (NOCHSI).

Information will be provided on how individuals can secure health insurance from numerous plan representatives who will be at the fair to offer advice and answer questions.

Along with providing information on how to obtain healthcare coverage, there will be several free healthcare screenings, including bone density, blood pressure and body fat analysis.

As in past years, free cervical and breast exams, as well as mammograms all by appointment will be offered for those who are age 40 and older who are uninsured. To schedule an appointment, call the Cancer Services Program Partnership at 592-0830.

In addition, information on self-breast examinations will be available and participants can take home a colorectal kit. There will be door prizes and free chair massages provided by Integrative Health Spa.
