Family Fun Day Celebrates The Arts

MEXICO – A family fun art day will be held June 3 at Mexico Point Park from 2 to 5 p.m.

The park is located off Route 104-B in the Town of Mexico.

There will be hands-on art, face painting, stone skipping contest open to all age level, a pinata and more.

Don’t miss the unveiling of the newest addition to the Park People Project. The full-sized carved, hand-painted wooded statue will join four others.

The Mexico Central School art teachers are planning another exciting Celebration of the Arts at the Park with many hands-on art activities.

Local guest artists are invited to display their artwork along with any district art students.

Snacks will be available.

Casey’s Cottage will be open for viewing. There is no admission charge. The event will be
cancelled in case of rain.

Central Square Medical Center Staff Provide Screenings at Local Church

The Medical Center, located at 3045 East Avenue in the village of Central Square offers urgent care, lab, medical imaging, women’s health and physical therapy services.

Oswego School Board Meets Tuesday

The Oswego City School District Board of Education will conduct a regular business meeting at the Education Center Board Room on Tuesday. Student and community recognition will be conducted when the public portion of the meeting resumes at approximately 6 p.m.

Oswego Bookmobile Repaired, Ready To Roll Into Summer

Oswego’s bookmobile operates differently from traditional bookmobiles. It delivers free books that don’t have to be returned. The bookmobile also delivers encouragement, modeled reading and activities to complement reading. Vandalism nearly thwarted the Bookmobile’s 2013 before it started.
