Agencies Conduct Public Transportation Survey in Oswego County

OSWEGO – The Oswego County Transportation Coalition is surveying residents of Oswego County to find out how to improve existing public transportation services in Oswego County.

All Oswego County residents are encouraged to participate. The survey is available on-line at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/OCOPublicSurvey and www.oswegocounty.com, and in print form at several public agencies. Completed surveys should be submitted by July 7.

“The purpose of the survey is to identify unmet needs or under-served areas of the public transportation riding community,” said Donna Scanlon, public transportation liaison, Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning. “We are looking for a good response to help us better understand the reasons why people aren’t using public transportation, whether other public routes need to be considered, and identify unmet needs. The more input we receive, the better we will be able to meet the needs of Oswego County residents.”

Printed surveys are available at the following locations:

Oswego County Opportunities main office, 239 Oneida St., Fulton
Oswego County Opportunities transportation office, 74 Pierce Drive, Fulton
Centro Office, 512A E. Seneca St., Oswego
Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego; and
Many village, town, and city municipal buildings in Oswego County.

Printed surveys should be returned by July 7 to the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego, NY 13126.
