The charges stem from a police pursuit that began at the railroad crossing on State Route 481, north of Van Buren Drive in the town of Volney and went south on 481 into the city of Fulton where the vehicle the suspect was driving turned east onto Van Buren Street then made a sharp turn north onto North Sixth Street where he finally parked the vehicle.

Patrol was reportedly handling a malfunctioning light complaint at the railroad crossing when Blondell allegedly approached the area at a high rate of speed and his vehicle swerved outside the lane crossing the road hazard markings causing other vehicles to pull to the side of the roadway.

The deputy reportedly signaled for Blondell to stop the vehicle, which he complied at the time but then re-entered traffic which was when he traveled toward the city of Fulton where other vehicles were forced to the side of the roadway.

Blondell was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court by Hon. Judge Adkins and remanded to the Oswego County Jail, held without bail.

He is to return to Town of Volney Court on July 16. missing or outdated ad config
