CYO Offers Back to School Youth Fair

Fulton, NY – Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO program invites are youth to join them for a fun and informative Back to School Youth Fair.

Scheduled for Sept. 15, the Back to School Youth Fair will be held at the Fulton War Memorial, 609 W. Broadway, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Open to all Oswego County youth and families, the event will feature presentations and activities that will help youth get the school year off to a fun, healthy start.

“We have collaborated with a number of agencies and organizations that serve Oswego County youth for this event,” said CYO Coordinator, Stacie Roberts.

In addition to a variety of games and activities representatives from the following will be on hand with information about their services and presentations on pertinent youth issues:

Tobacco Free Network of Oswego County
Traffic Safety Council
Oswego County Health Department
Boy Scouts
Girl Scouts
Fulton Public Library
Fulton YMCA
Cayuga Community College
Rural Health Network of Oswego County
Oswego Health
Fidelis
United Health Care
Youth Advocate Program (YAP) of Oswego County

Additionally, Roberts said that there would be door prizes, giveaways and more, including:

Free insulated lunch sacks and school supply bags from Fidelis.

Free oral hygiene screenings for children and a bag filled with toothpaste, toothbrushes, floss and educational material on the importance of good dental health courtesy of Dr. Walter Bozek of the Oswego County Dental Society and the 5th District Dental Society.

Water and snacks provided by Youth Advocate Program
