The Webber’s Named Red Cross’s Dunkin Donuts Volunteer of the Month

Dave and Lee Webber are the American Red Cross of Central New York – Oswego Branch Dunkin Donuts Volunteers of the Month for August and September. Lee has been with the Red Cross as a volunteer for a year and two months.  Her husband Dave has been a volunteer for eleven months. Lee and Dave were looking for volunteer opportunities in which Lee started volunteering her time at the Blood Donation center then decided to become a part of the Disaster Action Team. Dave joined her shortly and also became a member of the Disaster Action Team. During their time at the Red Cross they have become DAT’s for Oswego and Onondaga Counties, they have worked on shelter updates for Oswego County. Lee was deployed to Pennsylvania for the floods in 2011, and they were both just recently deployed for Hurricane Isaac in Mississippi.

The most rewarding experience since she has been with the Red Cross is the experiences they have encountered at local fires and when deployed nationally.  The dedication of all Red Cross workers and the resiliency of clients and their families in their time of need is a testament of the American spirit.

Dave and Lee would recommend the Red Cross to anyone. They are always promoting the gratification you receive as a volunteer and the terrific fellow Red Cross people and the amazing clients.

Lee is from Fremont, NY and is has taught Sunday school, tutored elementary students. She is on the Fulton Little League Board and is also the snack bar coordinator.  Dave is from Fulton NY and participates on the Little League Board, he coaches two teams and coordinated for T-Ball thru the Minors.

Congratulations to Dave and Lee Webber for being our Dunkin Donuts Volunteers of the Month for August and September!!!!
