A Central Square man is facing charges of sexually abusing a child.

On Wednesday, Oswego Police arrested Fareed Hosein, 24, of 12 W. Fourth St., Oswego, in connection with the Dec. 8 incident in which police responded to Buccaneer Boulevard, near Leighton Elementary and Oswego High schools.

A Granby man was charged under the state’s new “Todeschini law” for allegedly fleeing a police officer on Sunday morning.

An Oswego man is charged with a felony for allegedly using another man’s credit card number to make a purchase.

Sometimes, police have to go looking for alleged drunken drivers.  Sometimes, the drivers come to them.  This time, Fulton Police got one of each.

Two east side residents are facing felony drug charges. During the search, investigators seized approximately 13.5 grams of cocaine, an undisclosed amount of cash, and an apparent stun gun disguised as a cell phone.

Lisa Marie Senska was charged with three felonies — criminal possession of a controlled substance, grand larceny and welfare fraud.  She was also charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a public benefit card.

Police responded to a call of a disturbance at 151 W. 3rd St. S. last night, according to a news release from the department.  While there, police checked for any outstanding warrants on a person who was a guest at the home.

Two individuals have been charged in connection with two of the four recent bomb threats at OMS and OHS; one of them a district staff member. “Students sometimes don’t understand the (full impact) of the choices that they make. To have this happen by a staff member … sent tremors through my body,” the superintendent said.

Two men from Oswego — Steven Baitsell and Baubak Gholipour-Abbasi — and Vincent Ryder of Central Square were among 24 people being sought by police today as officials announced they’d cracked several drug distribution rings that were centered on the village of Solvay in Onondaga County.
