Legislators voted in favor of the budget plan on Tuesday night. They nixed several attempted to cut it a bit further. They also defeated a move to close the Hannibal Transfer Station.

<p>A public hearing on the 2010 budget will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the County Legislature Chambers in Oswego.</p>The Oswego County Legislature will continue its meeting on Tuesday night, following a public hearing on the 2010 budget. Much debate is expected regarding the future of the Hannibal Transfer Station.



County Deeds Land To Oswego City

The 60′ X 1,028′ property, adjacent to Wal-Mart, runs northwesterly from 104 to the city so that a new city street can be dedicated, which will foster economic development and improve traffic patterns and safety in the area, according to the resolution. The legislature will reconvene at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 and hold a public hearing on the budget as well.
