Emergency Notification Sirens Will Be Tested May 2 – 6
The Oswego County Emergency Management Office has announced that the system of emergency notification sirens surrounding the three nuclear power plants at Nine Mile Point are scheduled to be tested during the week of May 2 through 6 between 4 and 8 p.m.
Legislators Updated On 911 Enhancements, 5-Year plan
County legislators recently were updated on the work that’s under way on several of the new radio towers that will play a key role in upgrading Oswego County’s emergency radio communications system. The new interoperable radio system will be used by emergency responders to answer calls in all areas of the county – and across county lines. It will provide 97 percent coverage for portable radios used by emergency responders.
September is Preparedness Month
