Semi-Pro Football Comes To The County With The Oswego County Outlaws

Kenny Anderson, head coach, and LeRoy Collins, two of the people behind the Oswego County Outlaws semi-pro football team.The Outlaws are coming.

Oswego County will have its first-ever minor league football team this summer when the Oswego County Outlaws begin play in the Northeastern Football Alliance.

“It will bring a different type of excitement” to the area, said Leroy Collins of Fulton, the former professional football player who is one of four men behind the Outlaws, with former local athletes Kendall “Kenny” Anderson, Dave Parker and Brad Rose.



Fulton Falls In Playoffs To Whitesboro, 35-20

Three Fulton turnovers made a big difference as Whitesboro defeated Fulton 35-20 Friday night in the Section III football playoffs.

“We put the ball on the ground a couple of times today, but they hit us hard a couple of times,” said Fulton head coach Michael Conners.



Fulton Wins Playoff Game Against Carthage

Fulton used the running power of tailback Don Watson to rush past Carthage in the opening round of the Section III football playoffs, 34-15.

Watson scored on fourth quarter runs of 9 and 21 yards to put the game away.



Oswego Runs In The Rain To Football Win Over Cortland

Friday, the Oswego Buccaneers played host to the Cortland Purple Tigers, and earned a hard fought 26-6 victory. Damian Williams and the Oswego running game proved to be the difference as the field was pelted by rain and wind throughout. Williams totaled 223 yards and racked up two touchdowns as  Oswego’s only attempted passes came on two-point conversion attempts.

Fulton Falls In Battle Of Unbeaten, State-Ranked Football Powers

Saturday, undefeated and state ranked Fulton and New Hartford traveled to Central Square in what could be a Class A football playoff preview. New Hartford’s Anthony Acevedo and four Fulton turnovers were too much for the Red Raiders to overcome as Fulton fell 49-26. New Hartford turned three of four Fulton turnovers into touchdowns. “Today was the first week we made a lot of mistakes,” said Fulton head coach Mike Conners.

Bucs Rush To Senior Night Win

Oswego outlasted Camden (1-6) and gave their fans, who watched them in the cold and rain, a victory on senior day. The Buccaneers were able to ride their star senior running back Damian Williams to a 28-14 win at Josh R. Wilbur field.



‘BucFest’ Celebration Open to All, Highlights Homecoming

Oswego Players Reprise the Neil Simon Classic Comedy “Rumors” February 12

The story of the play concerns four affluent couples who gather for a dinner party celebrating their host’s tenth wedding anniversary. So, The Players plan to allow the audience to participate in the anniversary celebration by inviting patrons to attend a wine, and cheese, party before the curtain and sampling a anniversary cake at intermission.
