Girl Scouts Set A Record

The Oswego Girl Scout Service Unit recently held their End Of The Year Ceremony to honor Girl Scouts of all ages. The celebration was a huge success and was attended by close to 150 people. It included numerous recognitions and awards for Girl Scouts as well as adult leaders and volunteers.

10-Year-Old Oswego Girl Nearing Baldrick Goal

Emily Bradshaw and Amy Lear, owner of Man in the Moon Candies, display the winning raffle ticket. Liz Cannady won the dozen chocolate roses. Emily raised $174 with the raffle.

Emily Bradshaw is going to have her head shaved as part of a benefit to raise funds to help kids who are suffering from childhood cancer. People can donate to her effort. Or, they can “Brave the Shave” themselves on Feb. 28 at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center.

Girl Scout Organizes Motorcycle Run For Food Bank Of CNY

Allison Carmody, of Oswego Girl Scout Troop 41, is working on earning the Girl Scout Gold Award. For her project, Allison has organized a motorcycle run – “Speed to Feed” – which will take place this Saturday (August 1), according to her mother, Stephanie Carmody.
