Authorities are continuing to investigate two bomb scares at Oswego schools. Last week, there was a threat at Oswego Middle School. On Tuesday, the high school as well as the middle school was disrupted by bomb threats.

Police Probe Death In East Side Business

On Friday afternoon police were alerted that the Boost Mobile store was apparently left unattended. Upon investigation, police discovered a teen in the back of the store who had apparently hanged himself.

Oswego County DSS Asks NYS to Review Agency Records

Oswego County child welfare workers had been inside the home of Erin Maxwell at some point before her death, which police call a homicide.  Oswego County officials say that while the home was in bad condition, it did not meet the requirements for pulling the child from the home.  Now, under scrutiny after the 11 year old girl’s death, the county is asking the state to investigate to see if it did everything by the book.



Police Credit Witnesses For Assistance In ‘Hit-and-Run’ Investigation

Fulton police say that assistance from the community has helped them develop information about the early morning hit-and-run that took place over the weekend. As of Tuesday, police have located the occupants of the involved vehicle and are conducting interviews for the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.



Doyle Cleared of Wrongdoing

An article 14 investigation into the conduct of legislator Shawn P. Doyle is complete and Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann said Doyle was cleared of any wrongdoing.

Oswego Players Reprise the Neil Simon Classic Comedy “Rumors” February 12

The story of the play concerns four affluent couples who gather for a dinner party celebrating their host’s tenth wedding anniversary. So, The Players plan to allow the audience to participate in the anniversary celebration by inviting patrons to attend a wine, and cheese, party before the curtain and sampling a anniversary cake at intermission.
