Oswego County Federal Credit Union (OCFCU), is collecting donated new, unwrapped toys for the Marine Corps’ Toys for Tots program at both its 300 W. 1st St. and 175 E. 7th St. Oswego offices, it was announced by William Carhart, CEO. OCFCU employees ready to collect are, from left: Amy Hoey, branch manager, 300 W. First St. office; Laura Seeburger, member services representative, Mexico office; Alisa Morgan, head teller, Mexico; and Brian Cummings, branch manager, Mexico. The 300 W. 1st St. office can be reached at 326-0138 and the 175 E. 7th St. office can be reached at 343-7822.

“OCFCU has joined with many local businesses to help this year’s drive to make the holidays brighter for children in need, “ Carhart said. “In fact Alisa Morgan, head teller at our new Mexico office is especially involved with the cause. Her husband, Marine Staff Sgt. Jesse Morgan is the Central NY coordinator for Toys for Tots.

“Both of our Oswego office will be collecting new, unwrapped toys until Dec., 17.  For a complete list of local businesses and organizations collecting for the drive in our area, visit:  http://fulton-ny.toysfortots.org

According to the Marine Toys for Tots web site, the primary goal is to deliver, through a shiny new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders. One of the most important objectives is to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable natural resources—our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause each year to contribute to better communities in the future.

Founded in 1975, OCFCU is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative association, which serves more than 6,000 members from throughout Oswego County. OCFCU’s charter was revised in early 2007 so that anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Oswego County is eligible to join.

OCFCU has two offices in Oswego and a new office in Mexico scheduled to open Dec. 20. The 300 W. 1st St. office can be reached at 326-0138 and the 175 E. 7th St. office can be reached at 343-7822.  Further information can also be found online at www.oswegofcu.com.
