Safe Haven Museum Announces Memorial Day Opening
Winners of 2015 Parade of Trees at Fulton Pratt House Listed
The John Wells Pratt House Museum of Fulton has held the annual Parade of Trees for roughly 35 years. Developed as a way for the residents of the city of Fulton and local businesses and organizations to come together during the holiday season, the event has only grown with each passing year. Today, the event is open to any school, non-profit organization or business that is interested in entering a decorated tree for the contest. Any person or group interested may enter a decorated Christmas tree in any of the four categories including adult, youth, child or business. The following presents the first, second and third places winners for each category.

Brittany Patterson Presents War Of 1812 Talk At Museum
On Aug. 6 from noon to 5 p.m., the H. Lee White Marine Museum and the Oswego Maritime Foundation will host a fun filled day focussed on the New York State Barge Canal System.
H. Lee White Marine Museum Extended Summer Hours
The H. Lee White Marine Museum Complex, located on the West First Street Pier in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District, is open Monday – Sunday, 1 – 5 p.m. through the end of June and will extend to 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. throughout July and August.
Marine Museum To Commemorate D-Day
The event will be multifaceted, centering around an unveiling of the new indoor exhibit focusing on the history and significance of the National Historic Landmark Tug , LT-5, during World War II and afterwards. The vessel is proudly berthed on the west pier by the Museum, in Oswego’s Historic Maritime District.
Safe Haven Museum Hosts Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony
The ceremony will be a celebration of life, and the museum is asking visitors to bring flowers or plants to be planted around the museum in honor of those who passed during the Holocaust and in celebration of their lives.
‘Storytelling 101’ Planned At Marine Museum
Join the H. Lee White Marine Museum on May 7 from 1 – 2:30 p.m. as students from SUNY Oswego perform creative and imaginative presentations of various children’s stories at the museum.
